Media Contacts Research Project :
The client wanted us to gather details about all the potential Pharmaceutical, Hardware and Software companies in the UK and Ireland and extract details of their media contact personals.
Our Approach :
We started out by identifying and marking all the corporate companies of the United States that catered to the Pharmaceutical, Hardware and Software industries. We marked our relevant companies and browsed through their websites for their contact information. we continue to derive some 1000 contact names of media personals and their email addresses.

After the first term of the project, the client was so happy with the results that he extended the work to be done on an ongoing basis.
Internet Research – Health Companies :
The project required our team to browse through hundreds of Question and Answer posts on the client’s previous website and format them accordingly and update it on to the database of his new website.
Our Approach :
There were hundreds of posts scrambled over the earlier website. Out research and development team were faced with the daunting task to reading through each of them and formatting them as per the specifications of the client. And what was particularly challenging was to understand the interface of the client’s database in order to enter the formatted content.

We took a project of document scanning for our client, where we had the responsibility of scanning all their documents which was hand written copies and printed documents. Primarily we unstamped all the documents and processed it through our special scanners meant for the purpose of scanning and converted them into digital images with the help of the software developed by our developing team.

The customer’s need Insurance forms processing and creating a marketing database consisting of potential customers. Ask Datatech was approached by the customer to carry out this task. To build a database of potential customers, the customer would invite its customers to a seminar and collect data on forms. These forms were to be scanned and uploaded to India by a secure FTP connection from our clients.As a part of our solution, we created web-based software to index and search forms. Our team would enter and index the data to form a searchable database. The customer used this web-based software database to call and follow-up with the potential customers. This database proved to be an excellent marketing tool for the customer to boost new business development plans.
Solution :
Data is uploaded on the secure server in the US. We download this data in the morning session in India and process and upload the forms within 12 hours. In addition to making daily deliveries we also meet certain preset weekly targets.

The basic idea in the project was capturing the important details in the application forms and the supporting documents relating to a particular subscriber and converting them into a database and digitized images. This would help the company in maintaining a comprehensive database of its subscribers. The same data base can be used for various administration purposes and sales promotion activities.
Our Role :
The forms are sent to Ask Datatech each month where they are scanned, data captured, the details are validated and digital images indexed. This would help them in easy retrieval. Ask Datatech captures all the documents and application forms obtained from the company. High speed and high resolution scanners are used for scanning the documents. The Images are named in a definite method which would help faster retrieval of the files. The database would have an indicator to these files.

The Project was undertaken for data entry and data processing of a survey conducted by radio stations to understand the time spent by listeners on their programs. The survey had detailed questions regarding what were the start times and the end times for listening to various stations and what was their preferred program.
The Objective :
The project required high degree of accuracy, as any omission of data would lead to misinterpretation of results. Another challenge faced was at the time of data entry, as the survey was hand written and misinterpretation of letters could take place.
